Hot on the heels of a report that the next iMac refresh will include 2 compelling new features, comes news that iTunes 9 will at long last include support for Blu-Ray video.
Citing a reliable source, Boy Genius Report writes that in addition to Blu-Ray support, iTunes 9 will also enable users to “visually organize and arrange iPhone and iPod Touch applications.” With some iPhone’s sporting well over 100 applications, manually re-arranging iPhone apps can be an exhausting chore, so this should come as welcome news for anyone who happens to be an app store fiend.
The following concept video might give us an idea as to what sort of implementation Apple may be going for.
Interestingly, the report from BGR also hints at some sort of iTunes/Twitter/Facebook/Last.fm integration.
With Apple largely expected to refresh its entire lineup of iPods this September, rolling out a new version of iTunes at the same time would make a whole lot of sense.
