For the first time, the number of iPhone users in the US now exceeds the number of Windows Mobile users, according to a recent report released by ComScore. According to the report, there were about 9 million iPhone users in the US in October while the number of Windows Mobile users came in at around 7 million. And unfortunately for Microsoft, things are bound to get worse before they get better – late last week we reported that the release of Windows Mobile 7 has now been pushed back to late 2010.
BlackBerry devices, though, still come out on top with an estimated 14.96 million users in October. Palm and Android devices, meanwhile, lag behind with around 2.84 million and 1.02 million users respectively.
