We’re always willing to briefly venture out of the Apple world to point out some douchebaggery when we see it.
Now we’re not entirely caught up on the Winklevoss/Facebook drama, but we do know that the Winklevoss twins (Cameron and Tyler) attended Harvard and sued Mark Zuckerberg for stealing the idea for what would eventually become Facebook.
After taking Facebook to court in 2004, the brothers along with another classmate named Divya Narendra, settled for a cool $65 million.
Now you’d think this would be enough to satiate the aforementioned parties, but alas, you’d be wrong.
The Winklevoss twins claim that they were mislead as to the actual value of Facebook and they’re now trying to extract even more money from Facebook.
Sounds like we have some level 1 douchebags on our hand.
Commenting on the matter, former Harvard president Larry Summers fleshed out some tantalizing details about the Winklevoss’ attempt to garner the support of Summers in their efforts to get in on that Facebook action.
“One of the things you learn as a college president,” Summers explained, “is that if an undergraduate is wearing a tie and jacket on Thursday afternoon at three o’clock, there are two possibilities. One is that they’re looking for a job and have an interview; the other is that they are an a**hole. This was the latter case. Rarely have I encountered such swagger, and I tried to respond in kind.”
And now we have some level 3 douchebags on our hand.
Litigious Harvard twins wearing ties and jackets in the middle of the day? Spare me. And oh yes, they’re rowers too.
Their 2004 crew team name was reportedly nicknamed the “God Squad” because some team members believed in God while the others believed that they were God.
We can’t speak to the religious beliefs of the Winklevoss twins, but like Summers, we’ll side with the latter possibility.

I’m glad this clown was not the president of my university. Yes the twins are greedy but this moron with his cheap shots at students in his care should be ostracized by us all. No more cushy non-jobs for summers.
