An interesting tidbit for all you design nerds out there. Apple’s new iCloud icon apparently makes use of the famed Golden Ratio, a.k.a the divine proportion. What is the Golden Ratio exactly? Technically speaking, it occurs when the ratio of an entire picture (for example) to the larger quantity of that picture is equal to the ratio of the larger quantity to the smaller quantity. The Golden Ratio can be seen in famous historical buildings, paintings, as well as in nature.
And in the iCloud icon as well.
