Apple this weekend released a new TV ad highlighting The Beatles on iTunes. The ad below showcases, in animated fashion, many of the the Beatles’ more well known album covers. Naturally, the ad itself is dubbed “Covers.”
After years of speculation and legal roadblocks, the Beatles music collection finally came to the iTunes Music Store in November of 2010. Coupled with focused advertising campaign from Apple, the Beatles sold an impressive 450,000 albums and 2 million songs in just the first few days after landing on iTunes. As of January 2011, over 5 million Beatles songs and 1 million Beatles albums had been downloaded.
