Apple this morning held a private (sorta) ceremony on its Cupertino campus to celebrate the life of co-founder Steve Jobs. The event kicked off at 10am and various Apple retail stores around the country closed up shop for 2-3 hours today so that they could watch a livestream of the event from inside the store.
The aerial footage below was posted by CNET and really captures the breadth of the event which featured speeches from Tim Cook, Al Gore, and Bill Campbell. And always the music lover, Norah Jones and Clodplay both performed as well with the latter finishing up the vent with “You’ve got a friend in me.”
As one Apple employee tweeted from the event, “An incredible and fitting celebration. Tears, laughter and some closure.”
