With the possible exception of Google and Oracle, no two companies are as bitterly entangled in a legal dispute as Samsung and Apple are. The two companies are suing each other in over 10 countries and across multiple continents – and make no mistake about it, billions of dollars at stake.
That notwithstanding, the influence of Steve Jobs, and the markets he helped forge, transcend business and legal disputes, no matter how high the the stakes are.
Following the passing of Steve Jobs, Samsung issued a statement praising Jobs for all that he’s done for the world with Samsung executive G.S. Choi saying that his company was “saddened” by the loss of Jobs.
“Chairman Steve Jobs introduced numerous revolutionary changes to the information technology industry and was a great entrepreneur,” Choi explained. “His innovative spirit and remarkable accomplishments will forever be remembered by people around the world.”
