Steve Jobs many no longer be Apple’s CEO, but in his new role as chairman of the board, Jobs will reportedly maintain an active involvement in Apple’s product strategy and long term plans. Late last week, Walt Mossberg cited extremely well-informed sources at Apple claiming, “To be very clear, Jobs, while seriously ill, is very much alive… He intends to remain involved in developing major future products and strategy and intends to be an active chairman of the board, even while new CEO Tim Cook runs the company day to day.”

So how is Jobs settling into his new role as chairman? Is he doing okay relinquishing control to Tim Cook or is he still paying extraordinarily close attention to each minute detail of Apple’s day to day operations?
