Digitimes is reporting that that iPhone 5 camera will be coming with a dual-LED flash.
Recent market rumors have indicated that Apple’s iPhone 5 is likely to come with a dual-LED flash with Taiwan-based LED packaging firms Everlight Electronics, Edison Opto and Lite-On Technology being pinpointed as potential suppliers. All related companies have denied they are involved in the production of dual-LED flashes.
This of course comes in the wake of rumors that the flash component on the iPhone 5 will be separate from the actual lens, an adjustment which should result in reduced red-eye and crisper photos shot in less than optimal conditions.
As for the benefits of a dual-LED flash, it reportedly results in brighter photographs as a result of the more expansive lighting dual LEDs provide, not to mention better recorded video quality in low light situations.
