When Apple’s ads say that there’s an app for just about everything, they’re definitely not lying. An enterprising plastic surgeon recently came up with an app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users whereby prospective breast implant patients can see what they’d look like with bigger busts.

The app is called iAugment and uses 3D imaging technology to create photos for women curious about what a bigger bra size would do to their overall appearance.

And believe it or not, the plastic surgeon behind this app is a women.

Dr. Elizabeth Kinsley is based out of New Orleans and helped develop the app not only to give prospective patients an idea as to how they might look with a bigger bra, but to help them determine just how big they should go.

Here’s how the app works.

First users upload an existing photo of theirs, preferably one where they’re wearing a bra, bathing suit, or light colored top. They can also take a shot with their iOS camera if they so choose. Following that, a tool bar appears at the bottom of the screen and acts as a slidebar whereby users can adjust their on-screen breast size. The app lets users choose any implant size, from 201cc all the way up to 690cc.

To start the process, users can just shake the phone. Talk about an innovative “shake to undo” implementation!

The app isn’t solely to drum up business for Kinsley as the app links out to a number of plastic surgeons in a given area. Users also have the ability to post their enhanced cleavage shots to Facebook to get some feedback on their new look.

Of course, the app has a disclaimer that the images are merely simulations and not necessarily representative of what a post-surgery boob job will look like.
