Wow, the tech sphere is hyper-litigious these days. In the wake of Apple filing suit against Samsung for patent and trademark infringement, the South Korean-based company has vowed to respond strongly.
In a statement on the matter released yesterday, the company explained.
“Samsung will respond actively to this legal action taken against us through appropriate legal measures to protect our intellectual property.”
Further, and recognizing Apple’s role as a key customer of theirs, a Samsung official stated:
“Apple is one of our key buyers of semiconductors and display panels. However, we have no choice but respond strongly this time.”
It’s hard to make out what exactly Samsung means by this, but with many of Samsung’s Galaxy products seemingly modeled specifically after the iPhone and iPad, it’s hard to gauge just what sort of response Samsung is considering at the moment.
