An alleged photo of an iPhone 5 display has surfaced on a Chinese website specializing in the resale of Apple parts. In case you can’t tell from the photo above, the display is in fact larger than the current iPhone 4 display though its precise dimensions remain unknown.
While one might have ordinarily dismissed the accuracy of this photo, recent reports have hinted that Apple’s next-gen iPhone will carry a 4-inch screen to better compete with a growing lineup of varied Android handsets.
As for other iPhone 5 rumors, it’s been reported that the device may feature the next iteration of Apple’s highly regarded A4 chip along with a dual GSM/CDMA chipset from Qualcomm. Remember that teardowns of the recently released Verizon iPhone revealed a Qualcomm Gobi MDM6600 chipset that can handle both CDMA and GSM.
