The White House today released a photo of Obama’s tech-centric dinner held in San Francisco on Thursday night. Flanking President Obama is Apple CEO Steve Jobs to his left and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to his right. There were reports earlier this week questioning the health of Jobs, albeit from trash-rag publications, but the Apple CEO is apparently healthy enough to dine it up with the President and the movers and shakers in tech.
Other luminaries present at the dinner included Google’s Eric Schmidt, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, and Netflix CEO Reed Hastings. Obama swung through San Fran to meet with tech executives to discuss technological innovation and explore opportunities involving government cooperation with business’ to help foster American competitiveness.
Obama has previously met one on one with Jobs, the last time being back in October of 2010 where the pair reportedly discussed issues relating to the economy, technology, and education. Incidentally, Jobs donated $50,000 to the DNC in 200 and $26,700 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2006. Meanwhile, Obama and his team appear to be Mac fans.
