Tecrux reports:

Microsoft is said to launch Windows Phone 7 by October this year. According to certain reports Microsoft will show off its phone at an event in New York City on October 11 while the OS will make its debut in Europe on October 21st.

This news is still a rumor but more importantly there is a great deal of confusion in terms of Hardware Vendors who will support the new OS. There are a few Vendors who have popped up in news but nothing can be said for certain.
