Edible Apple

Patently Apple recently unearthed the following patent illustrations for Apple’s iPad. As you can tell, the illustrations all feature a 30-pin dock connector located on the side of the device, a location which would enable landscape docking.

Apple of course files patents for many products and designs it has no intention of ever shipping, but dual dock connectors would be particularly intriguing and useful given how often the device is used while docked.
