Reverberations from unexpected US demand for the iPhone 4 are now being felt across the the pond. O2 recently put up an FAQ on their website to address the much talked about iPhone shortage.
iPhone stock will be extremely limited in the UK at launch and not everybody who wants one will be able to get one straight away. We want to make sure that our existing customers get priority so until at least the end of July, only existing O2 customers will be able to get an iPhone 4 from us.

Yikes. So if you’re looking to get the iPhone 4 via O2, there’s a good chance you’ll have to wait until August to get your hands on the device.
