Best Buy is the latest entity hit by the immense interest in Apple’s upcoming iPhone 4. The nationwide retailer announced on their website this afternoon that they are no longer accepting pre-orders for Apple’s next-gen iPhone. Earlier today, AT&T also announced that it was suspending iPhone 4 pre-orders to ensure that orders already processed will be fulfilled.
In a statement on the matter released this morning, AT&T said that the volume of iPhone 4 pre-orders are 10x greater than pre-orders for the iPhone 3GS. Apple, meanwhile, issued its own press release stating that over 600,000 iPhone pre-orders had been placed worldwide.
