Word that Apple’s next-gen iPhone would come equipped with a much anticipated front facing video camera first surfaced back in late March when John Gruber tipped Apple’s hand. A few short weeks later, Gizmodo confirmed the rumor, and shocked the tech world in the process, when it showed off videos and photos of an iPhone 4G it purchased for a few grand from a stupid, albeit opportunistic, mofo.
And just in case you still weren’t convinced that video conferencing was coming to the iPhone, Boy Genius Report on Saturday got ahold of two snapshots of the next-gen iPhone’s field test firmware. BGR says the shots come from their “Apple guys”, and while their track record is generally hit or miss, we’re probably gonna go ahead and believe them on this one.
