Xeni Jardin of BoingBoing takes a close look at Marvel Comics new iPad app and it looks pretty sweet. Xeni writes that over 500 titles will be available when the iPad goes on sale this Saturday, and that many of the selections will be priced at $1.99 – though a few will be available for free. And lest you worry, all the heavy hitters are in play – X-Men, Spider Man, Iron Man, Captain America etc.
One of the cooler features of the app is that users will be able to double tap a frame to zoom in on that specific frame. Users can than swipe to view the comic frame by frame instead of page by page. You know, if you’re into that kinda thing.
