In late June of last year, game developer Freeverse announced that they had sold over 1 million copies of their popular iPhone and iPod Touch app Flick Fishing. Since then, Freeverse has had continued success on the iTunes App Store as they recently announced that their library of apps have now been downloaded over 5 million times.

As one of the leading developers and publishers on the platform, Freeverse has had a string of hits on the iTunes App Store, including #1 Top Paid Titles in 2008, 2009, and 2010. With 24 games and apps on the iTunes App Store today, the New York based company continues to be a popular and prolific name in the mobile game market.

Ian Lynch Smith, President of Freeverse, has said, “We’re excited to be hitting such a major milestone, and want to take the opportunity to thank the development teams and partners who have created such compelling content.” Mr. Smith went on to say, “The iPhone has changed the way we think about and interact with games, and we want to keep learning and innovating as we strive for the next milestone.”

Some of Freeverses’s other popular apps include Wingnuts Moto Chaser, Skee-Ball, Top Gun, and Flick Bowling.
