Vodafone just announced that in the first 8 days since it began selling the iPhone in the UK, it has already sold over 100,000 units. Impressively, over 50,000 iPhones were sold on the first day of sale, with another 50,000 sold during the next 7 days.
Vodafone’s UK CEO Guy Laurence commented on his company’s auspicious entry into the iPhone business, “The demand from both consumer and business customers has been phenomenal. They want an outstanding phone on an outstanding network and we’re delivering that.”
