Digital Daily writes that Apple’s highly anticipated media event will take place on Wednesday January 27th and not on January 26th as previously reported.
Sources in a position to know tell me Apple is indeed planning a media event later this month at which the company will announce a major new product. The gathering is to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, a space Apple often uses for media events like this. According to other sources, it will occur on Wednesday, Jan. 27, not Tuesday, Jan. 26, as had been rumored.
Also of note is a recent report from the French language Mac site Mac4ever which has an impressive track record when it comes to Apple rumors. The site reiterates that Apple will introduce a tablet device on Jan. 27, but also adds that Apple will use the occasion to introduce a beta version of the iPhone SDK 4.0 which will include a “simulator” for developers to facilitate the adaptation of iPhone apps to different screen resolutions. Hint, hint.
If you recall, Mac4Ever also noted a few months ago that the final implementation of the Apple tablet device will be markedly different from the various mockups that have been floating around over the past few months. Interestingly, a former Apple employee recently told the New York Times that users will be “very surprised how you interact with the new tablet.”
And so the suspense continues to build…
