Shortly before UFC 102 got underway this weekend, the official UFC iPhone app debuted on the iTunes Store for $.99. According to the description, the app offers users fighter videos, news highlights, and photos of Octogan girls like Arianny Celeste and Logan Stanton. Also included are schedules for upcoming UFC events, and interestingly, the ability to watch Pay Per View fights directly on your iPhone via Apple’s iPhone OS 3.0 in-app purchase feature.

No link? No exact name of the app to help pick it out from the dozen or so apps that come up in a search for “UFC”? A little more information would have been a welcome convenience.
Hint to other readers: if you’re searching for the app on your iPhone, don’t search for “ufc” — this app won’t show up. Start typing “ultim” and you’ll see it “ultimate fighting championship”. The app by MobiTV is the one described in this article.

Apologies, it’s actually only four apps that show up for “ufc”, not a dozen or so. Unfortunately, none of them is the app described in this article.
