Now that the new iPhone includes a compass, we can only hope that the Layar app depicted below will soon be making its debut on the iTunes App Store. According to the developer,

Layar allows you to see what is around you by displaying realtime digital information on top of reality through the camera of your mobile phone. Just flip through the directory of layers and find ATM’s, bars, houses for sale, hotels and other cool stuff around you.

Currently, Layar is only available for Android.
