Hopefully, the new Apple Store in Scottsdale, AZ [pictured below] gives us a hint as to what future Apple Stores might look like. One of the cooler aspects of the Scottsdale store is that you can see right through to the other side. CNET also notes that the store sports a 75-foot skylight in addition to a longer sized 50 foot genius bar.
From the products it manufactures, to the packaging that those products come in, right down to the stores in which those products are sold, Apple seeks to infuse a bit of flair and design into the entire product and purchase experience.

I haven’t been over there yet but I hope that store is facing North-South!

The store is awesome but that skylight is not good for the glossy displays. you can’t see anything on the screens of the macs under the skylight. You have to wonder what they were thinking.

That GLOSSY screen issue, is less about the skylite, and more about the GLOSSY screen. I think they are silly, and ALWAYS add glare. any light source in the room behind or above this unit, will be relfected. I think they still make them, for people who like shiny things…
