id co-founder John Carmack has previously chided Apple for not taking gaming on the iPhone seriously, and now he’s poised to meet with Apple and give them advice on how to make the iPhone an even better gaming platform. And what type of problems does Carmack see with the iPhone?
In an interviewwith Venture Beat, Carmack stated:
If you look at it in raw hardware horsepower, the iPhone should be better in performance than the Nintendo DS and the PlayStation Portable. But the truth is, you can’t exploit it all because of software inefficiencies.
Still, Carmack is an unabashed iPhone fan has recently been hard at work putting the finishing touches on Doom Resurrection, which will hit the iTunes App Store later the month.
