Citing a reliable source, SiliconRumors is reporting that Apple is planning on adding 3G connectivity to the MacBook Air, and may in fact produce an entire family of MacBook Air laptops in the near future.
Interestingly, sources hinted us at a new entry price ranging between $1300 and $1500 which clearly suggests a new and possibly smaller model could be part of the next generation MacBook Air family.
SiliconRumors also learned that the new MacBook Air could feature SSD (Solid State Drive) storage in its standard configuration accross the line. Possible but considered as less likely is the inclusion of a GPS (Global Positioning System) chip, sources said.
We hadn’t heard of SiliconRumors before, but MacRumors points out that they were formerly known as MacScoop, and that they’ve been a reliable source for Apple rumors in the past.
