Last week we reported that a company named Cygnus had initiated a lawsuit against Apple, Microsoft, and Google for allegedly violating its patent regarding ‘file preview’ features. We also noted that the complaint was strangely only 4 pages long, and contained the following error:
As you can see, they neglected to mention Apple, and mentioned Microsoft twice. Well, 3 days later, they filed an amended complaint that rectified their earlier mistake. As we said earlier, this isn’t a good start when you’re initiating legal proceedings against the big boys in the tech industry. And come on, the complaints only 4 pages long, do some proofreading for petes sake! Interestingly, the lawyer representing Cygnus is named Peter. Even more unforgivable.

I’m sorry, but your argument is not very strong when you omit two apostrophes (“complaint’s” and “pete’s”) and start a run-on sentence with “And.” I know most bloggers aren’t concerned with perfect writing, but if you’re going to yell at someone for not proofreading, at least that sentence should be proofread.
