Macblogz, citing their own reliable source inside AT&T, claims that a 99 dollar iPhone is NOT coming to Walmart on December 28, contrary to initial reports from BoyGeniusReport.
Based on every piece of information we’ve heard, and direct information inside AT&T, this is not happening. Our AT&T sources have been confirmed accurate in the past, so this new information is being reported with confidence. If this rumor does come true, then we will be just as surprised as everyone else. However, we are sticking with our colleagues on this one and endorsing the inaccuracy of these rumors.
It’s hard to know what to believe, but it does seem curious that such a huge promotion would be rumored to begin after the holiday shopping season.
