YouTube visitors were greeted today by a multimedia Apple ad for the iPod touch. As someone who visits YouTube nearly everyday, I’ve never before seen such a prominent advertisement splashed across the YouTube homepage. Canada’s largest wireless provider, Rogers Communications, grossly exceeded earnings estimates on sales of 255,000 iPhones, which doubled its net income for the quarter. Rogers reported earnings of 73 cents a share, beating analyst estimates of 51 cents a share. Bloomberg has the full scoop over here.
